HISTORICAL PRODUCTIONS, INC. ia a rapidly growing independent production company located in Cincinnati, Ohio that develops and produces high quality, commercially viable projects for film and television.

Founded by Writer/Producers Robert David Burns and Wayne W. Whited in 1996, Historical Productions is in the process of putting together projects that deal with a variety of profitable and entertaining ideas, many to begin production over the course of the next two years.

Our first independent film, "Johnny" went into production in 2005 and stars newcomer Cody Piper in the leading role of Johnny Clem, the legendary Drummer Boy of Chickamauga during the American Civil War. "Johnny" begins a new style of documentary/drama type of film original from any before, and a style that we hope to continue to produce in the future.

At Historical Productions, we are constantly producing and developing exciting new projects. We pride ourselves to be able to produce exciting films with both local and international appeal. This, coupled with competent production and an "eye" for what the public wants, will secure our future in the film industry as one of Ohio's leading production companies. As such, we are always on the lookout to establish new strategic long-term relationships, both behind the camera and in front, for mutual growth and profitability.

THE TEAM

Based in Southwestern Ohio, Historical Productions Inc. was founded in 1996 by aspiring director R. David Burns and up-and -coming writer Wayne W. Whited. Both shared a passion for history and a love for films, and joined together to produce top-quality motion picture and television screenplays under the Historical Productions banner. Signing with Legacies Literary Agency in 2000, the two together have worked to bring their dreams to life by building a capable relationship and Hollywood-quality film production business based in the midwest. In 2005, they begun their first venture into independent production with "Johnny", which premiered on November 10, 2007. Since then, we have continued to deliver high-quality professional documentaries and films for both small and large budget productions.
